Does anyone remember that old DC Talk song? For some strange reason it has been running through my brain for the last couple days, which is weird because I haven't heard it in probably 10 years. Anywho, here is one of the verses:
A piece of canvas is only the beginning for
It takes on character with every loving stroke
This thing of beauty is the passion of an Artist's heart
By God's design, we are a skin kaleidoscope
As I hold my beautiful babies I wonder if I am part of this "skin kaleidoscope". I am not white or pale in color. No way! I am translucent...see through...lacking in all color. I find myself slightly envious of the perfection I see in their skin. It is amazing to me that I cannot see any veins running underneath their skin and through their bodies haha! My body, well, that is a different story. Those of us who are translucent in color are a virtual road map of veins and capillaries. Thank God for the truth of Psalm 139, right? There is something so very comforting about knowing that the same God who paints the colors of a sunset also tenderly painted Jordan the deep caramel color that she is.

(By the way, the peeing on the furniture phase is over. Thank God! However, my couches and rug will never be the same. Every so often I can still smell it. As for this picture, like father like daughter. That is all I have to say!)
He also decided that JW would look his absolute best as a dark chocolate beast.

I can just see Him laughing now as he gave Micah just 3 tiny tufts of hair while leaving the rest of her head nearly bald, or smiling as he gifted her with wonderful asian looking eyes.

So I guess it must be said that he also loves my barely there skin tone, even if I don't like it.
Yes, I love them all! Even when they require a bath after eating rice and green beans.

Most of the time they are very sweet.

Like today when Jordan pushed Micah in the Jumperoo while pretending it was a baby swing...that was sweet. What wasn't so sweet is when she spun Micah around and around like she was in a tire swing. Poor Micah.
*insert cute photo here that has yet to be downloaded off my camera*
Considering Micah is already attempting to crawl, I have a feeling that she will be torturing Jordan soon enough. Payback!
