I registered on Faithful Bloggers many many months ago. It is designed to connect Christian bloggers to eachother or help those who don't blog find information on specific topics. There are quite a few different topics you can register under and I chose adoption (of course). I am not sure if that is how people in cyberspace find my blog or if it is through links on other blogs, word of mouth, etc. But I have had several Christian ladies find it. So I am starting a new sidebar for adoption blogs only. The first one I posted is www.filledwithpraise.com This blogger and her hubby are waiting to adopt a boy from Ethiopia whom they will name Elijah. It is so encouraging for me to read other bloggers stories and watch God provide for them in the way God provided for us. Read through it if you get a chance. She had a very powerful video attached to her blog. Rarely does anything bring me to tears. Honestly. I am a pretty solid person in that way. My kids, remembering our adoption journies, stress, and hormones are about the only things that do it. Well, I guess that isn't exactly true. Seeing kids without parents makes me cry too. 60 Minutes had a special on Sunday night about the children of Haiti since the earthquake. It is mind blowing to think about how many have been left as orphans. I want to go rescue each and every one of them. I want to be like Jesus when he said he would not leave us as orphans but would come to us. Anyway, back to the video. Few things bring me to tears, but this video did it. Even Scott, my big man's man of a hubby was crying. It is challenging to even us and we have already heeded the call to help orphans in their distress. I hope that some of my readers will be challenged by Lucy's story, challenged to pray about rescuing a child who has literally been left as an orphan.

$38.26 bought...
7 packs of diapers, 1 pack of Pull Ups, 1 big tube of Colgate, 4 Dawn dish detergents, a small but very necessary bag of M&Ms, and one more thing I can't remember. I am so thankful to God for southernsavers.com. I really truly am. My grocery budget has been significantly decreased and I actually enjoy the game of what feels like cheating the big companies out of money. I look forward to Saturday nights and seeing all the sales pop up on southern savers. THank you Jesus for the little things that make me seriously giddy :)

A Pictorial Review of Life
First things first. We are hopefully closing on a house in 2 weeks. We are busting at the seams in our cozy cottage and found this house that needs a fair amount of work, not a ton, but some. It really is everything we would want in a house. Everything! This little house contains an awesome little gem too. Check it out! A true master suite! Scott and I have never had a master bathroom, let alone one as nice as this. Just the mere thought of showering without baby toys at my feet makes me excited. But the good comes with the bad. It isn't real bad, it will just be a pain for a while. We have to redo the kitchen. that is another story in itself. in the meantime, just enjoy my bathroom :)

Jordan has taken to playing games. Her favorite is Memory. But I refuse to pay $5 for a memory game only to have the cards lost or eaten by a baby. It just seems like such a waste. So I repurposed her color "flashcards" (a.k.a. paint chips) and we play memory with them. Perfect! Just don't tell her that mommy and daddy can read the name of the colors and therefore cheat. Honestly though, we play dumb and let her win.

March came in like a lion! I broke out in shingles in February sometime. Let me assure you that they are indeed no fun. Jordan got the stomach flu, but thankfully she didn't share with anyone else. Just on the heels of that, JW caught a cold and has shared it with the entire house. Every single one of us is sick with a nasty nasty cold. At least spring is close because if it wasn't, I'd be really depressed.

This happy baby girl has changed so much. Her personality is still the same, but her face looks different to me. It has rounded out a bit. Aaaand, she is walking *gasp*

This is my view at any given time. I had to stand on a chair to photograph it, but yes, it feels like there are always two babies at my feet and/or hanging on my pant leg.

Someone still values his time alone with the bottle...

Someone is still regressing...

Someone is still bald...

Someone still likes cupcakes...

Jordan picked out this outfit all by herself. She got "dressed up" for a Walmart run with Daddy. Everything from the jacket to the shoes, it was all her.
At the doctor this week, this kid was 26 lbs 5 oz.
It is not hard to see why.

LIES! All Lies!
The father of lies is at it again. Satan himself is spreading a vicious lie throughout families of multiples. The lie is so simple, yet we who are moms to these multiple blessings put way too much stock in it. The lie is this: it gets easier as they get older. IT IS A BIG FAT HONKIN' LIE!!! I have been waiting for 10 months now for things to ease up. I have waited patiently at times, and not so patiently for most of the time. I have put stock into the lie too, hoping there might be just some small grain of truth to it. But alas, just as he always does, Satan has deceived me. There are a few things that are proof that my life has not gotten easier. I, the lover of all things photography, have taken all of about 10 pictures of my kids in the last few weeks. This photo lover took a gazillion pictures of the the great snow of 2010, but I have yet to post a single one. It will be 90 degrees outside and you all will be viewing pictures of Jordan making snow angels. If that isn't enough proof for you then maybe this will do it: if you know me well, you know that I despise a messy house. More than a messy house, I despise a dirty nasty house. Well, needless to say, I have turned a blind eye to my own home. I have plain given up on keeping this house even remotely pleasant; I have become but a shell of my former self. So if you are wondering why I haven't been in the blogosphere lately, it is because I am either under a pile of laundry, under a pile of dishes, or under a pile of kids.
Though I am getting more sleep than I was during the newborn stage, I am tired. I am oh so very tired. I really want to take a vacation and sleep the entire time. Forget about sight seeing or doing fun things like parasailing, I just want a bed and room service. Oh Satan, I hate you! You are making me think that sleep and room service are what I need! What I really need is to embrace Isaiah 30:15 "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength." God, give me grace to make it through this. In my exhaustion, I am not even really sure how that verse relates to what I am going through right now. Seriously! I just know that God brought it to mind, and when God brings a verse to mind, you type it. I am sure He will explain it all later...when my mind has the ability to comprehend what he is trying to teach me. At this rate I am thinking the time of comprehension will be on the other side of heaven.
On a slightly different note, when talking to a friend this weekend I swore I would never ever do twins/two babies at once ever again. Once is enough! I am so blessed and love my babies, but ONCE IS ENOUGH :) You know what she said? She said "Never say never." How dare she! She even had the nerve to say something along the lines of "If it is what God brings you, how could you say no?" (Geez, Cary. Did you have to go and say that?) God, please oh please do not pull a very cruel joke and make me eat my words haha. I type that only half joking...
I hope that you my reader can sense both the sarcasm and seriousness of this post. I am very serious when I say how tired I am. I am very serious when I say once is enough. I am also very serious about my lack of mental abilities right now. I think the rest is sarcastic, although right now I am too tired to know for sure ;)
