Obedience

After bath time tonight Jordan promptly dumped out her entire bucket of foam letters and numbers. Then she scattered them throughout the room and went on to a new toy. At this point I knew she was going for the puzzles...all of them...to dump all the pieces all over the floor. I told her not to get out another toy until she picked up her letters. And to my amazement SHE OBEYED! She even did it cheerfully as she sang the clean up song from Barney. How do we obey? All the way; right away; and with a cheerful heart. This small moment made staying at home worth it.
